\u00e2\u20ac\u0153I ask you that the first Friday<\/span><\/span> following the octave of Corpus Christi be dedicated to a special feast to honor My Heart, by the reception of Communion on that day and by making honorable reparation and amends to make up for the indignities It has borne when exposed in the Holy Eucharist upon the altar.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/p>\n

A Holy Hour in particular is requested by His love.<\/p>\n

\u00e2\u20ac\u0153Every night of Thursday<\/span><\/span> to Friday<\/span><\/span>,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d our Lord told St. Margaret Mary, \u00e2\u20ac\u0153I will make you share in the mortal sadness that I desired to feel in the Garden of Olives. To accompany Me in the humble prayer that I made then to My Father, you will rise between eleven and midnight<\/span><\/span>; you will prostrate yourself one hour with me, face on the ground, as much to pacify divine anger by begging for mercy for sinners, as to sweeten in a fashion the bitterness that I felt when My apostles abandoned Me, unable to watch even for one hour with Me.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/p>\n

The Church has long blessed the nocturnal prayer required of its monks.<\/p>\n

Our Lord seems to consecrate it anew and clarify its meaning: in the homage of satisfaction it brings to God for those who do not know Him, it adds, through the sacrifice it imposes on nature, this consoling reparation to the Heart of the God-Man, who makes this hour of prayer into the hour of Gesthemane.<\/p>\n

MEDITATION:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Embodying all the other gifts, as charity embraces all the other virtues, Wisdom is the most perfect of the gifts. Of wisdom it is written “all good things came to me with her, and innumerable riches through her hands.” It is the gift of Wisdom that strengthens our faith, fortifies hope, perfects charity, and promotes the practice of virtue in the highest degree. Wisdom enlightens the mind to discern and relish things divine, in the appreciation of which earthly joys lose their savor, whilst the Cross of Christ yields a divine sweetness according to the words of the Savior: “Take up thy cross and follow me, for my yoke is sweet and my burden light.<\/p>\n

PRAYER:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Come, O Spirit of Wisdom, and reveal to my soul the mysteries of heavenly things, their exceeding greatness, power and beauty. Teach me to love them above and beyond all the passing joys and satisfactions of earth. Help me to attain them and possess them for ever. Amen.<\/p>\n

ACT OF CONSECRATION TO THE HOLY GHOST<\/strong><\/p>\n

On my knees before the great multitude of heavenly witnesses I offer myself, soul and body to You, Eternal Spirit of God. I adore the brightness of Your purity the unerring keenness of Your justice and the might of Your love. You are the Strength \/ and Light of my soul. In You I live and move and am. I desire never to grieve You by unfaithfulness to grace and I pray with all my heart! To be kept from the smallest sin against You. Mercifully guard my every thought and grant that I may always watch for Your light: and listen to Your voice and follow Your gracious inspirations. I cling to You and give myself to You and ask You\u00c2\u00a0by Your compassion to watch over me in my weakness. Holding the pierced Feet of Jesus and looking at His Five Wounds and trusting in His Precious Blood and adoring His opened Side and stricken Heart\u00c2\u00a0I implore You\u00c2\u00a0Adorable Spirit,\u00c2\u00a0Helper of my infirmity, so to keep me in Your grace that I may never sin against You.
